Executive Secretary-Treasurer
Jordan Esopa was officially appointed as Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the Maritime Trades Department in 2026, but she was no stranger to the MTD or the Labor movement
Jordan has spent the past five years working in the labor movement as a dedicated Business Representative for the United Industrial Workers. She has represented union members across a range of logistics sectors spanning from Maryland to Upstate New York, enforcing collective bargaining agreements and supporting contract negotiations.
Prior to entering the labor movement, Jordan earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the College of Charleston. She later combined her interest in politics with her work in labor, becoming active in the Hudson County Central Labor Council. She was appointed Young Workers Chair, where she helped launch the first ever Hudson County CLC networking event for young workers.
When she is not advocating for workers, Jordan supports local arts organizations through grant writing and spends her time playing bass and restoring vintage audio equipment.”
