While the fear of covid infection remains in the back of many people’s minds, more and more Port Councils are returning to activities they conducted prior to the pandemic.

Earlier this month, the Hawaii Ports Maritime Council held its traditional Maritime Pa’ina. Approximately 80 people attended, including PMC affiliates, local elected officials and candidates.
“”People were very happy to see each other in person,” noted PMC Executive Secretary-Treasurer Hazel Galbiso. “It was an intimate group with good fellowship.”
The July 7 barbecue (pa’ina is barbecue in Hawaiian) was held at the Café Julia, YMCA, in Honolulu.
