MTD President Michael Sacco updated the members of the Greater South Florida Maritime Trades Council on maritime and labor matters when the PMC gathered for its October meeting in Dania Beach, FL.
Sacco discussed the successful efforts by the council and others around the country to fend off attacks on the Jones Act. He also told the delegates of the latest domestic commercial shipbuilding ventures that will improve the U.S.-flag carriers’ capabilities.
“He was all about jobs for our members,” noted PMC President Paul Doell. “It was good for our council to hear what is happening at the national level and how it affects our membership at the local level.”
