U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao thanked the men and women of
the U.S.-flag maritime industry through a video released by the
Department of Transportation.
Chao acknowledged the effort and the determination of American
mariners in keeping the nation’s commerce moving.
The secretary has long championed the Jones Act, the U.S.-flag fleet
and its workers.
